In Elementary school, students are given the opportunity to put into practice the 21st century learning skills; the goal is that they learn to communicate, collaborate and exercise creativity and critical thinking, making those connections that are relevant to their lives and in turn, help them to succeed in this changing world.
Students are engaged in a standards-based curriculum implemented by highly qualified teachers. Common Core State Standards and Singapore Math are the base of our Mathematics and English Language Arts lessons. Next Generation Science Standards have begun to enrich our Science lessons and our rich Dominican History is offered along with a worldwide perspective in our Social Studies classes. Specialists deliver Music, Art, Physical Education, Religion, Character Education, Computer, Learning Commons, and extra-curricular clases. These practices, taught through the Project-Based Learning methodology, develop a well-rounded educational experience, awareness, understanding, respect, and the value of differences in our society.
