Dear SMS Friends and Families,
I trust that all is well with you as we enter December, with all of its joy, as well as its significance in our lives!
St. Michael’s School continues on our pathway of excellence, as you no doubt will see in the following pages. Academics, sports, student activities… all are here for your children in our very active school. As Headmaster, I am grateful every day for the hard work and dedication that our teachers, support staff, and volunteers bring to our school. On a personal note, I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed meeting and working with all of you as your Headmaster since August. It seems like yesterday that I arrived, and here we are “suddenly” ending the calendar year!
Recently, we hosted our first Parent Teacher Conference of the school year, marking the end of the first quarter. I trust that you found the day to be informative as you, the parent, and we the educators work together to strive for the best results possible! The first quarter report provides an ideal opportunity to speak with your child, and their teachers, in order that all involved may have a clear understanding of the successes, challenges, and next steps to be taken in order to address any challenges. If for some reason you were unable to attend on that day, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher in order speak with them at a mutually convenient time. You may contact the teacher via email, or call Lisette Rickards at ext. 818 in order to set up an appointment.
Finally, I want to take this opportunity to wish you ALL a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy the upcoming break with family, friends, and colleagues.
