Reading Contest Starts Monday September 19

The SMS Reading Contest is here again! The purpose of this contest is to help our students develop the habit of reading. Studies have shown that students that increase their reading ability, show improvement in all other academic areas. Reading, however, should never be a chore. This is why we want to instill in them a love for reading and knowledge!  Students are encouraged to read level – appropriate materials. These minutes are added to their class record. Students will be asked to complete a reading log where they record the minutes read, along with some other information. Prizes are awarded for class Super Readers, and the Ultimate Reader!
