“Tournament of Champions (TOC) 2016 University of Kentucky
Our students, Ana María Cochón, María Elisa Lama, Eduardo Fernández, and María José Tejón, who form the SMS Debate team, qualified to participate in the Tournament of Champions (TOC) 2016 that took place in Lexington, Kentucky, from April 30th to May 2nd of this present year. This qualification came about due to the excellent work shown by our students in the previous international debate tournaments that they took part in. The debate format in which they competed is that of Public Forum. We are all very proud of our students for having been invited to this international tournament, which only invite the best teams of those countries that are participating in debate competitions. Congratulations to them for a job well done and a great performance in this important tournament. Not only did they represent the school with great honor, but also our country.
