WELCOME BACK!

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends of St. Michael’s School,

Welcome back! It is a pleasure to see everyone again as our SMS extended family returns for yet another great academic year at St. Michael’s School. I also extend a heartfelt welcome to our new students and families who have joined us this year – you’ve joined a great school! I trust that your summer has been a relaxing and recharging time, filled with happy moments and experiences.

Our vision for our school remains as relevant today as it has ever been. In a rapidly changing word full of opportunity and challenge, St. Michael’s School is committed to being a unique educational institution that combines academic excellence with a sound character education program to help our students become principled life-long learners and positive leaders who will make a difference in the world. Our 2017 – 2018 school year promises to live up to each of these important aspects!

In the weeks over the summer, we have worked hard on our facility to have our campus ready for teaching, learning, and activity. Our playing court has been refreshed, our library and learning center has been modernized and moved to the second floor, and we have a re-purposed space on the first floor that we call “The Hub”! As that name suggests, like the center of a bicycle wheel from which the spokes support the rim, our “Hub” will form a center of the school, serving multiple roles as a comfortable eating and gathering place for students and staff, a large conference room, and an activity area depending on the needs of the moment. Furthermore, our master plan for the new building built in 2012 continues to be implemented, with a new reception area and meeting rooms ready to open soon.
